Our Cats

We realize that for every puppy we sell, there is one more in a shelter somewhere that may not be adopted. While we didn't want to stop raising our babies, we figured we would try to even things out by adopting cats. Our current count is seven, and I think that is where it will stay... at least until we get a bigger house!

Brianna

Brianna is your typical cat - doesn't want to be bothered with humans unless its time to eat... then she is the most affectionate soul in the world!

Dexter

Dexter is one of our newest cats, but he might as well be a dog! He isn't happy unless he is chasing someone down to love on him. He is very sweet and my personal favorite!

Fudge

Fudge is a "space cadet", pure and simple. She is weird and hyper and will jump straight in the air for no apparrent reason. Life has been... interesting... since Fudge came to live with us.

Musket

We adopted Musket at the same time as Fudge because they were found on the vet's doorstep just a day or two apart from each other and had spent weeks together in the animal hospital. We think he has allergies because he is always squinting his left eye. He, like Brianna, is your typical cat - doesn't really want to be bothered with humans!

Ollie

Ollie is Dexter's brother, but you couldn't tell by looking at them! I initially wasn't going to adopt Ollie only Dexter, but once I found out he was family I decided I didn't want to break them up. One of the best decisions I've ever made! Ollie is sweet and gentle and loves snuggling with us during the night.

Panther

Panther is our "hard-case". It took a lot of work to get him to let us come near him and not to attack the other cats. We don't know what his history is, but know that he was in foster care for nearly his entire life. He has calmed down a lot since we adopted Ollie and Dexter, but he still gives Musket a hard time every chance he gets. He does a bit better when he takes his "kitty prozac", but that is only when we can get it down his throat! But for all the difficulty we have had with him, he was worth it! He is a talking cat and will stop doing anything to be loved on... well, except for chasing Musket!
Spook

Spooky is actually our first rescue when she was just a few weeks old. She is Brianna's sister and although they look a lot alike, they couldn't be more different! Spook is also a talker, has patience beyond any cat I have ever met and loves to be pet. We adopted her on Halloween 2006... hence the name "Spook"!
